Early this morning I launched the overhauled color lithophane tool at ptpcreate.com. Since my last post I have done a few things. First, I dramatically improved the preview image, it now is a decent representation of what the final print will look like.

Given my backlight is a little warmer than I used for measuring the swatches this isn’t too bad and worlds better than before.
I also tweaked the algorithm a bit to maximize the quality of face portraits.
Finally, I have a link on the page to a walk through video to explain how the tool works and 0.2 nozzle profiles files for all the filament brands.
